Garbage bin box 2 boxes for 120 l and 240 l bins – four models at BIO Stefan

With a 2 boxes garbage bin box, you can store two garbage bins, such as residual waste and organic or residual waste and paper, behind a single, visually calm front. At BIO Stefan, there are four models to choose from: Dagobert (steel, compact), Alubert (aluminum, lightweight), Stahlfred (solid steel), and Holzmichl (steel with real wood front). All models are designed for 120 or 240 liter garbage bins (Stahlfred and Holzmichl also for 90 l), lockable, and can be expanded later in the same color.

Anthracite (RAL 7016) is the most affordable standard color at BIO Stefan; other RAL shades are optionally configurable for an additional charge. Delivery is flatpack, compact models even fit in a station wagon, and assembly is easy with a wrench and cordless screwdriver.

Garbage bin box 2 boxes 240 l and 120 l – Dimensions at a glance

The 2 boxes garbage bin box for 240 l bins is, depending on the model, 139 to 148 cm wide, about 80 cm deep, and approximately 118 to 127 cm high. Robust, weatherproof, and durable – the advantages at a glance

Sturdy steel body: With Dagobert, Stahlfred, and Holzmichl, hot-dip galvanizing plus powder coating ensure that corrosion and UV radiation stay out permanently.

Real wood instead of foil (Holzmichl): Naturally untreated spruce wood boards are set in the powder-coated steel frame, individually paintable or oilable.

Light aluminum construction (Alubert): Powder-coated aluminum plus stainless steel A2 are rust-free, and at around 37 kg, the 2 boxes are especially easy to position.

Lockable: Toggle lock with retrofittable key lock on Dagobert, central lock on Stahlfred and Holzmichl, integrated lock in the handle on Alubert.

Height-adjustable feet: Compensate for unevenness on paving, lawn edges, or slight slopes.

Soft opening: Gas pressure dampers on the lid ensure nothing slams shut; Stahlfred and Holzmichl also have impact dampers on the door stop.

Space-saving: The 2 boxes garbage bin box fits with under 1.5 m width even in narrow entrance areas, driveways, or next to the garage.

Expandable: You can later turn the 2 boxes into a 3 boxes or 4 boxes row in the same color by ordering additional extension elements.

2 boxes garbage bin box made of steel, aluminum, or wood – which model suits you?

Each material has its strengths. Steel is sturdy and affordable, aluminum is lightweight and rust-free, wood is warm and natural. Which model suits you depends on style, location, and budget.

Steel models like Dagobert or Stahlfred are the lowest-maintenance options and are well suited for terraced houses, courtyards, or multi-family homes. Alubert made of aluminum shows its strengths in salty air or for easy transport. Holzmichl combines steel stability with a real wood front that can be color-coordinated with fences, terraces, or facades.

Flip-top or plant roof – which option suits your 2 boxes garbage bin box?

The flip lid (automatic lid) opens with gas pressure dampers and can be opened synchronously with your garbage bin via a connecting chain: fill in the trash without pulling out the bin. The flip-top version is available for all four models.

With the plant roof, instead of the flip lid, a flat planting tray with a slight tilt (2.5 degrees) sits on top. Space for succulents, herbs, or summer flowers. Dagobert, Stahlfred, and Holzmichl are available in both roof variants, only Alubert uses exclusively the flip lid.

Is a 2 boxes garbage bin box subject to approval?

In Austria and Germany, a 2 boxes garbage bin box is usually exempt from approval: it is not considered a structural facility in the traditional sense. The decisive factor is always the respective federal state or municipality, especially for visible front gardens or parking spaces in construction ban zones. If in doubt, simply check with the local building authority; very often, installation is allowed without any approval.

Easy self-assembly – flatpack delivery

All 2 boxes garbage bin boxes come disassembled as flatpacks. The compact models even fit disassembled into a station wagon (for example, Audi A4), while larger versions are delivered on a pallet by freight. Pre-drilled parts and an illustrated assembly manual make installation predictable. The delivery includes the respective lock, all fastening parts, and the assembly instructions. For Stahlfred, Holzmichl, and Alubert, the lock is already included; for Dagobert, the toggle lock is standard and a key lock can be optionally retrofitted. You only need a wrench and a cordless screwdriver as tools.

Mixing 120 l and 240 l – the 2 boxes combination at BIO Stefan

One of the most common 2 boxes setups is a small 120 l bin next to a large 240 l bin, for example, organic waste next to residual waste. For this, you will find dedicated combination models for mixed 120 l and 240 l rows at BIO Stefan, each with a flip lid or a plant roof as a roof option. This keeps the front flush and neat at the top despite different bin sizes. The central lock synchronously secures doors and lids, and the real wood front of the Holzmichl can be individually painted or oiled.

Depending on the model, the 2-bin store for 240 l bins is around 139 to 148 cm wide, about 80 cm deep and approx. 118 to 127 cm high. Dagobert is the most compact version at 139 cm, Stahlfred and Holzmichl the widest at 148 cm. For 120 l bins the width is between 118 and 128 cm.

Yes. For a small 120 l bin next to a large 240 l bin, BIO Stefan offers dedicated combination models for mixed 120 l and 240 l rows. The front stays flush at the top, with a choice of hinged lid or green roof.

Four: Dagobert in compact powder-coated steel, Alubert in lightweight aluminium with A2 stainless steel, Stahlfred in solid steel and Holzmichl with a real wood front in a steel frame. All four are lockable and expandable in the same colour.

The hinged lid (automatic lid) is available on all four models and is the lowest-maintenance option. The green roof is available for Dagobert, Stahlfred and Holzmichl: it turns the 2-bin store into a small planter and copes better with summer heat, but needs occasional watering.

Anthracite (RAL 7016) is the lowest-priced standard colour and is available for all models. Dagobert also comes in further RAL shades and with a wood-look front, Stahlfred and Holzmichl in up to seven RAL shades. Further RAL shades can be configured for a surcharge.

Yes, all four models are lockable: Dagobert with a toggle latch and optional key lock, Stahlfred and Holzmichl with a central lock for lid and door, Alubert with the lock integrated in the handle. Clean powder-coated surfaces with lukewarm water and a soft sponge; the Holzmichl wooden front can optionally be treated with stain or oil.

Care for your 2 boxes garbage bin box

Steel and aluminum models are largely maintenance-free. You can clean powder-coated surfaces as needed with lukewarm water, a soft sponge, and a mild cleaner. For the Holzmichl front, you can treat the spruce wood boards every one to two years with transparent wood stain or wood oil; this is not necessary, it is a matter of style.
