3 boxes garbage bin box for 120 l and 240 l bins – four models at BIO Stefan
With a 3 boxes garbage bin box, you can store residual waste, organic waste, and paper (or yellow bag and cardboard) behind a single, visually calm front. At BIO Stefan, there are four models to choose from: Dagobert (steel, compact), Alubert (aluminum, lightweight), Stahlfred (solid steel), and Holzmichl (steel with real wood front). All models are designed for 120 or 240 liter garbage bins (Stahlfred and Holzmichl also for 90 l), lockable, and can be expanded later in the same color.
Anthracite (RAL 7016) is the most affordable standard color at BIO Stefan – other RAL shades are optionally configurable for an additional charge. Delivery is flatpack on a pallet, assembly takes about 1.5 to 3 hours per box.

Robust, weatherproof, and durable – the advantages at a glance
Sturdy steel body: In Dagobert, Stahlfred, and Holzmichl, hot-dip galvanizing plus powder coating ensure that corrosion and UV radiation stay out permanently.
Real wood instead of foil (Holzmichl): Naturally untreated spruce wood boards are set in the powder-coated steel frame. Can be individually painted or oiled, no warping due to the frame.
Light aluminum construction (Alubert): Powder-coated aluminum plus stainless steel A2 are rust-free. At around 52 kg per 3 boxes, especially easy to install.
Lockable: Toggle lock on Dagobert, central lock on Stahlfred and Holzmichl, lock integrated into the handle on Alubert.
Height-adjustable feet: Compensate for unevenness on paving, lawn edges, or slight slopes.
Soft opening: Gas pressure dampers on the lid and impact dampers when closing – no pinched fingers.
Flatpack delivery: Fits in a station wagon, assembly in 1.5 to 3 hours per box.
3 boxes garbage bin box made of steel, aluminum, or wood – which model suits you?
Each material has its strengths. Steel is sturdy and affordable, aluminum is lightweight and rust-free, wood is warm and natural. Which model suits you depends on style, location, and budget.
Steel models like Dagobert or Stahlfred are the lowest-maintenance options and well suited for multi-family houses. Alubert made of aluminum shows its strengths in salty air or for easy transport. Holzmichl combines steel stability with a real wood front that can be color-coordinated with fences, terraces, or facades.
Folding Roof or Plant Roof – Which Option Suits Your 3 Boxes Garbage Bin Box?
The folding lid opens with gas pressure dampers and can be opened synchronously with your garbage bin via a connecting chain: fill in the trash without pulling out the bin. The folding roof option is available for all four models (Dagobert, Alubert, Stahlfred, Holzmichl).
With the plant roof, a flat planting tray sits on top instead of the folding lid. Space for succulents, herbs, or summer flowers. The garbage bin is filled via a tilting function, leaving the planting untouched. Dagobert, Stahlfred, and Holzmichl are available in both roof variants – only Alubert uses exclusively the folding lid.
Is a 3 boxes garbage bin box subject to approval?
In Austria and Germany, a 3 boxes garbage bin box is usually exempt from approval: it is not considered a structural facility in the traditional sense. The decisive factor is always the respective federal state or municipality, especially for visible front gardens or parking spaces in construction ban zones. If in doubt, quickly check with the local building authority – very often installation is possible without any approval.
Easy to assemble yourself – flatpack delivery
All 3 boxes garbage bin boxes come disassembled as flatpack on a pallet and fit into a station wagon (e.g., Audi A4 Avant). Pre-drilled parts and an illustrated manual make assembly possible within 1.5 to 3 hours. The delivery includes a lock, a connecting chain for the bin lid, and all fastening parts. You only need a wrench and a cordless screwdriver as tools.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Care for your 3 boxes garbage bin box
Steel and aluminum models are largely maintenance-free. Powder-coated surfaces can be cleaned as needed with lukewarm water, a soft sponge, and a mild cleaner. For the Holzmichl front, you can treat the spruce wood boards every one to two years with transparent wood stain or wood oil – this is not necessary, it’s a matter of style.
