Lamellot combines a modern look with solid features: walls and roof made of 0.7 mm hot-dip galvanized and coated sheet steel, base and top frames made of powder-coated aluminum, a roof structure made of galvanized, powder-coated steel profiles, anti-condensation fleece beneath the roof, a reinforced door with a locking cylinder, and a window made of solid polycarbonate. A level, horizontal, load-bearing surface is essential, such as a concrete slab, strip foundation, or area made of concrete pavers. Use the base frame dimensions for your size in the technical data as a guide. The base frame has openings that allow you to anchor the garden shed to the ground.

The door hinge side determines which side the door is hinged on, i.e. where the hinges are located. This refers to the view from outside when you are standing in front of the garden shed. In Germany, the state building regulations apply, usually based on the enclosed volume. The distance from the property boundary and any applicable zoning plan are also important. Metal heats up more in the sun during summer than wood, and condensation can form when temperatures change. With Lamellot, an anti-condensation fleece under the roof reduces dripping. Ventilate on warm days and do not store batteries, paints or fertilizer in direct sunlight. In heavy rain, you will hear the drops on the roof. In addition, a metal shed requires a level surface and anchoring. However, there is no need for laborious painting or staining, and metal does not rot.

That depends mainly on the material, the ground surface, and maintenance. With Lamellot, the walls and roof are made of galvanized and coated sheet steel, while the frames are made of aluminum. Place the garden shed on a level, dry surface, anchor it securely, keep the roof free of leaves, and promptly repair any scratches. This will keep your tool shed in good shape for a long time.

A wooden garden shed has a natural appearance, but it needs regular stain or paint and can rot. A metal garden shed is easy to maintain: Occasional washing is usually sufficient. With the wood-look slatted front, you still get a warm, lively appearance.

Elaborate painting or staining, as required for a wooden garden shed, is not necessary. Occasionally wash the surfaces with water and a mild cleaner, and keep the roof free of leaves. You should touch up any scratches that occur during assembly promptly.
