You have a 120-liter garbage bin (e.g., residual waste or paper) and a 240-liter garbage bin (residual waste or organic) and are looking for a solution that hides both sizes in one housing? That’s exactly why we build the garbage bin box combination 120 + 240 liters. Both bins disappear behind lockable front doors, the housing is uniformly designed on the outside, and the different bin heights are balanced internally.

You can choose between two lines: the Stahlfred made of powder-coated steel and the Holzmichl with a real spruce wood front. Both are also available with a green plant roof.

How many bins do you need?

The 120 + 240 liter combination suits households where the sorting systems vary in size, for example residual waste in the larger 240-liter bin and paper or organic waste in the more compact 120-liter bin. Need additional compartments? Both lines are modular and can be expanded later: from the 2-unit set to 3-unit, 4-unit, up to 5-unit or 6-unit rows.

What Sets the Combo Trash Bin Box Apart

Uniform appearance despite different bin heights: The 120-liter bin is shorter than the 240-liter one. Inside the housing, the height difference is balanced so that the box looks like a cohesive piece of furniture from the outside.

Body made of hot-dip galvanized, powder-coated steel: Double protection against corrosion and UV. Ideal for outdoor placement, in carports, driveways, or next to garden gates.

Central key lock: One lock for doors and lid secures the entire box. Protection against unauthorized access and bin misuse, especially when placed freestanding.

Connecting chain for both bins: When you open the box lid, the bin lid lifts automatically. You can throw in the trash without pulling the bin out.

Height-adjustable feet (15 to 60 mm compensation): On paved or slightly sloping surfaces, the box can be precisely leveled.

Doors reversible on both sides: You decide during installation whether left or right hinges suit your location better.

Garbage bin box 120 and 240 liters with plant roof

Both lines are also available with a plant roof: the Stahlfred Plant Roof Combo 120/240 L and the Holzmichl Plant Roof Combo 120/240 L. Instead of a flip lid, the box gets a flat planting tray that can be planted with succulents, herbs, or ground covers. To keep filling comfortable, the garbage bin tilts forward for filling. The greenery remains undisturbed.

Steel or wood: which line suits you?

The Stahlfred is the lowest-maintenance option: powder-coated steel front in your desired color, modern and straightforward. The Holzmichl features a front made of real spruce wood in a steel frame, warm and natural, ideal for gardens with wooden facades, privacy fences, or wooden terraces. You get both in the same RAL colors for the body, so Stahlfred and Holzmichl can be placed side by side if needed without clashing stylistically.

Delivery, Assembly, and Consultation

The garbage bin box is delivered disassembled as a flatpack on a pallet. The assembly is designed for self-installation: with the illustrated instructions and pre-drilled parts, the box can be set up in two to three hours depending on the model. Die Box ist auf gängige 2-Rad-Mülltonnen ausgelegt. Das 120-Liter-Fach hat eine lichte Weite von 51,5 × 70 × 99 cm, das 240-Liter-Fach 61,5 × 80 × 109 cm. Damit passen alle handelsüblichen kommunalen Tonnen in diesen Größen.

Do I need the same housing for 120 liters and 240 liters?

Genau dafür gibt es die Kombi-Variante. Statt zwei separat gekaufter Boxen unterschiedlicher Höhe bekommst du ein einheitlich gestaltetes Gehäuse. Außen wirkt die Box wie ein zusammenhängendes Möbel, innen sind die Fächer auf die jeweilige Tonnengröße zugeschnitten.

What are the differences between Stahlfred and Holzmichl?

Beim Stahlfred bestehen Korpus und Türen aus pulverbeschichtetem Stahl, einheitlich in deinem Wunsch-RAL-Ton. Der Holzmichl hat denselben Stahlkorpus, die Front-Türen tragen aber eine Einlage aus Fichtenholz. Funktional sind beide identisch, der Unterschied ist Optik und Pflege: Stahlfred ist wartungsfrei, Holz lässt sich bei Bedarf ölen oder neu streichen.

Is the garbage bin box lockable?

Ja. Beide Linien haben ein zentrales Schlüsselschloss, das Türen und Deckel gemeinsam verriegelt. Du kannst die Box also gegen unbefugten Zugriff sichern.

Which colors are available?

Standardfarben sind Anthrazit (RAL 7016), Reinweiß (RAL 9010), Weißgrau (RAL 7035), Telegrau (RAL 7045), Schwarz (RAL 9005), Graualuminium (RAL 9007) und Cremeweiß (RAL 9001). Anthrazit ist der günstigste Ton, weitere RAL-Farben sind auf Anfrage gegen Aufpreis möglich.

What does the green roof add in the combo version?

Statt Klappdeckel bekommt die Box eine flache Pflanzwanne, die sich mit Sukkulenten, Kräutern oder Bodendeckern begrünen lässt. Die Mülltonne wird über eine Kippfunktion nach vorne befüllt, sodass die Bepflanzung beim Müllwurf nicht beschädigt wird.

Can I expand the garbage bin box later?

Ja. Beide Linien sind modular: Du kannst eine Kombi-Box nachträglich um weitere 120- oder 240-Liter-Fächer ergänzen, sofern die Aufstellfläche ausreicht. Sprich uns vor dem Kauf an, wenn du eine spätere Erweiterung planst, dann stimmen wir Türanschlag und Standort darauf ab.
