Our Story
BIO Stefan® is a young, dynamic company based in Leonding in Upper Austria.
We – Erwin and Andreas – have made it our mission to give waste storage a new face. Visually appealing, with modern design and affordable. Easy to assemble and low maintenance.
It all started on a beautiful summer evening in 2019. In a green environment, in great spirits, and philosophizing about modern living, only one thing disturbed us – the garbage bin. Ugly, smelly, and purely functional. The question quickly arose: isn’t there a better solution? Looking at the neighborhood didn’t offer a better picture. Garbage bins everywhere, freestanding, overflowing, ugly. The idea was quickly born – there must be a garbage bin box with appealing, modern design and highest functionality.
Not just for us – for everyone with high standards.
Still in the same year, we decided to found a company and turn our idea into reality. What began in 2020 in a small garage of only 18 m2 has grown into a company with four employees plus the founders Erwin and Andreas. Today, we work on over 1200 m2 on our dream – to banish visually unappealing, smelly garbage bins from the streetscape. Our product range has meanwhile expanded to other outdoor & living areas. Our products and above all the feedback from our customers motivate us to stick to our philosophy. We now sell our BIO Stefan® products throughout the entire German-speaking region and beyond to neighboring countries such as Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, and the Balkan countries.
Our Design
BIO Stefan® stands for modern design, product durability, and affordable prices. A wide product range adapts to the individual conditions and needs of our customers. This is a special concern for us. Our products are easy to assemble, resistant to corrosion, and low maintenance. In addition to the high standards for the products themselves, it is important to us to make production sustainable. We only have production carried out within the EU. This way, we also want to contribute to the protection of the climate and the environment. Furthermore, we focus on consolidated shipping and optimized logistics solutions. On the one hand, this benefits our customers, and on the other hand, it also benefits the environment and the climate.

At BIO Stefan®, we value not only modern design and functionality but also social responsibility. That is why we actively support youth and sports projects in our region.
Through our commitment, we want to give young talents the opportunity to develop their skills and celebrate sporting successes together. Because we are convinced: investments in youth are investments in the future.
Why BIO Stefan?
What makes us so special?Why actually BIO Stefan®? Our products are not organic, and no Stefan works with us. Yet the name fits our company like no other. The origin story goes like this: on that summer evening in 2019, not only Erwin and Andreas were together, but also Stefan. Stefan provided us with valuable ideas in many areas and supported us from the very beginning. And the ugly, smelly trash bin that bothered us so much back then was indeed an organic trash bin. Almost simultaneously with the first product idea, the name – BIO Stefan® – was born.
At BIO Stefan®, we maintain regular communication with our customers. Through a strong and appreciative feedback culture, we address their concerns and suggestions. We see this not only as part of our quality process but as a matter of course! This active exchange is a core part of our philosophy. That is why we only market our products through direct sales and not through resellers – simply put, our customers are very important to us.
