When we set the focus for our day first thing in the morning, we manage to make it more conscious, relaxed, and productive – and that ultimately improves our quality of life. What works is not the same for everyone. We have compiled a few suggestions and ideas to help you find your very own morning routine. The most important thing about the morning routine: It must be motivating, doable, and useful.
1. Sleep enough and well!
A successful morning routine already begins the evening before: Namely by going to bed on time. Only those who get enough sleep are fit and productive the next day. An adult needs between seven and nine hours for this.
Regular wake-up and bedtime can help establish a natural sleep rhythm for you. This way, you are most likely to find out how much sleep you need. Even on weekends, you should get up and go to bed at roughly the same time so your body does not have to adjust every time. Because that causes stress and impairs restful sleep.
2. The snooze button? FORGET IT!!
Experience shows that once you press it, you tend to press it a few more times. For a functioning morning routine, however, it is advisable not to use the snooze function.
The constant waking up and falling back asleep disrupts the circadian rhythm. In plain English: The brain no longer knows whether it should be awake or tired. This can lead to persistent fatigue during the day.
Instead, it is better to start stretching extensively right after the first ring. This signals to your body that the day is about to begin. Similar to sports: A runner only starts training after warming up.
3. No smartphones or tablets during the morning routine!
The first thing many people reach for in the morning is their smartphone. However, it is more sensible to leave the phone, laptop, or TV aside for a while. Your morning routine should be about you, after all; WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and the like are more of a distraction. It already helps to turn on airplane mode on your phone in the evening or simply switch it off completely.

4. First of all: Brush your teeth
Brush your teeth before eating or drinking anything. According to the traditional Indian healing method Ayurveda, the body detoxifies itself overnight by expelling toxins through the mouth. If you reach for the coffee pot immediately after getting up, you rinse these toxins back into your body.
5. Drink water

8. Silenzio: Seek the silence
