Build garbage can box in wood yourself?
In principle, you can also build a wooden 2-bin garbage can box yourself, and with a little skill, it can be done quite well in wood. However, the effort involved in buying the right parts, dimensioning, screws, nuts and more is not without its drawbacks. The entire wooden structure also has some disadvantages. The structural stability is achieved exclusively through enormous material thicknesses. This is where the size of the garbage can box reaches completely new dimensions. It must be reinforced with additional diagonal timbers. Protection from wind and weather should then be taken into account. Wooden materials that are left outdoors should be regularly maintained, sanded and repainted. We at BIO Stefan have taken the natural appearance of wood to a new dimension at Holzmichl . The front doors contain sturdy wooden boards that are housed in a surrounding frame. The frame keeps the individual pieces of wood in shape, there are no gaps and everything stays straight. The individual pieces of wood can also be replaced and you can let your imagination run wild by adding your own wood of your choice.

Assembly was feasible so far, but it was extremely difficult to remove the protective film. Overall, the box is very good. Time will tell the rest...

But problematic assembly description, which I unfortunately had to get from the Internet first. The illustrations were not clear. Take a look at Ikea assembly instructions, then you'll have a good template.
