The BIO Stefan garbage can boxes are hot-dip galvanized and powder-coated to improve corrosion resistance and appearance.
However, a certain amount of care should also be given to galvanized parts such as closure clasps, hinges and closure magnets to maintain a good visual appearance and remove deposits that could affect corrosion resistance.
Regular care or cleaning is required especially for the hinges, flap fittings or gas pressure dampers and magnets, as deposits or even rainwater can easily collect there.
For cleaning, we recommend semi-annual cleaning with WD 40 or alternatively silicone spray (CX80). Under no circumstances should cleaning additives such as hydrochloric acid, chlorides or hydrocarbons be used for maintenance.
