The BIO Stefan garbage bin boxes are hot-dip galvanized and powder-coated to improve corrosion resistance and appearance.
However, a certain level of care should also be given to galvanized parts such as locking clips, hinges, and locking magnets to maintain a good visual appearance and remove deposits that could impair corrosion resistance.
Especially for the hinges, flap fittings or gas pressure dampers, and magnets, regular care or cleaning is required, as deposits or rainwater can easily accumulate there.
For cleaning, we recommend semi-annual cleaning with WD 40 or alternatively silicone spray (CX80). Under no circumstances should cleaning additives such as hydrochloric acid, chlorides, or hydrocarbons be used for care.
